this morning’s flow was super hard for me.
it’s been 18+ months since I injured both my rotator cuffs, but I still deal with a limited range of motion on a daily basis, and this past week I’ve been incredibly sore.
a decade ago, I wouldn’t have thought twice about pushing through an injury, but today, I am trying as hard as I can to listen to my body, and focus on how everything I do serves me in the end.
this got me thinking...why should this mindset be any different in our everyday lives?
shouldn’t the same mindful choices we make with our bodies be made with our lives?
how can we be thoughtful in how to position ourselves - on our mats, and in personal situations?
if you’ve not yet found your balance, if you’re not ready to stand up - don’t. take your time, and don’t apologize for doing so.
if anything you’re putting effort toward - an asana, a job, a relationship - doesn’t serve you, what is it’s purpose?
one of my goals for this month was to be more thoughtful and I am manifesting it everyday 🙏🏽
